Booking a stay
If you are booking a stay at Tarastone, there are many places of interest near us, including several World Heritage Sites as well as a range of excellent pubs, wonderful views and walks in the Cranborne Chase AONB.
Our meditation style
We take pride in our meditation courses being progressive rather than drop-in style. This important difference means our students are offered many techniques that build on each other and ongoing support as they progress. As students advance, so more complex teachings are accessed. It is usual to sign-up for a term of classes and the commitment is mutual.
The meditation room or gompa is a sacred space set within a dedicated retreat centre. As such our students find Tarastone extremely conducive to practice.

Our accommodation: Swallow Cottage
Swallow Cottage is a self-contained letting cottage in the Tarastone grounds. It is a relaxed and spacious barn-conversion with a peaceful atmosphere.
Open-plan sitting and dining room. Fully-equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms. Two bathrooms. Sleeps 4-6.
You do not have to be at Tarastone on retreat to book Swallow Cottage. Many of our guests come here just because it is a lovely place to stay when visiting the area.
Near Salisbury, Stonehenge and Shaftesbury and adjoining the Cranborne Chase. Wonderful walks, views, cycling, history, meditation and superb foodie pubs.
Private garden and use of retreat grounds. Wifi.
